This diploma is the first year of our Bachelor of Accounting (Level 7). If you do well and enjoy the courses, you鈥檒l be able to transition easily into degree-level study or move straight into work once you鈥檝e graduated. You鈥檒l gain an understanding of the general nature of business, the functions in an organisation and the critical role accountants play in the success of a business. Entry requirements
To be admitted to this programme all applicants must be at least 16 years of age on the date of the programme鈥檚 commencement, and meet one of the following requirements: Achievement of NCEA Level 2 including Or: 8 Literacy credits at Level 2 or above; and 14 Numeracy credits at Level 1 or above An equivalent of the above; Or Successful completion of an approved qualification at Level 3 or above with a relevant pathway. And meet one of the English entry requirements; 8 NCEA literacy credits at Level 2 or above; Or Evidence of English language proficiency as outlined in the NZQA Rules on the Unitec English Language Requirements for International Students Web-page .
