Develop your rongo膩 skills to an advanced level. Here's your opportunity to take your current knowledge of rongo膩 and deepen your understanding of its history and practices. Learn at an advanced level about incorporating your knowledge and exploring the essence of the natural environment.

Upon successful completion of this programme, you will receive the following qualification:
- New Zealand Diploma in Tikanga Level 5
You'll learn about:
- analysing rongo膩 models
- applying practical and theoretical knowledge of tikanga-a-iwi concepts within an environmental setting
- Te Whakaputanga & Te Tiriti o Waitangi - evaluate the implications for the kaupapa of rongo膩
- WAI262 claim - how it influences rongo膩 M膩ori practices
- the requirements to set up a rongo膩 practice
- the history and practice of rongo膩.
Entry requirements
To enrol in this programme, a potential student must:
- be at least 16 years of age
- be a New Zealand citizen (or citizen of Australia, Tokelau, Niue, Cook Islands) or permanent resident
- completed a Level 4 qualification in rongo膩, and have a NZ Certificate in Tikanga Level 4, or 100 hours of rongo膩 practice approved by a rongo膩 practitioner affiliated to Te K膩hui Rongo膩 or a rongo膩 practitioner recognised by hap奴/iwi.
- All applicants will need to attend an interview.
