Building on the New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage (Level 5), this qualification will prepare you to deliver specialised remedial massage therapy in allied health, wellness and medical settings. It will enhance your skills in massage therapy assessment, including inquiry, observation and physical testing. You鈥檒l learn to identify and interpret pathological processes and medical diagnostic results, with a deeper focus on the psychology of health. Additionally, you鈥檒l master sport-specific assessment and massage techniques to address and treat a variety of sports-related injuries. Your learning will occur in a real-world industry setting, where you鈥檒l engage in clinical practice hours. This hands-on experience will allow you to apply and refine your massage techniques under professional supervision.
