This includes skills in management, leadership, accounting, marketing, HR, law, economics and sustainability, as well as knowledge of Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Then across your second and third years you鈥檒l dive into project management, where you鈥檒l develop the knowledge and practical skills required to successfully manage simple and complex projects in a variety of sectors. You鈥檒l study the principles of project management, business finance, operations management, advanced project management and resource integration or business transformation and change. Additionally, you鈥檒l channel the knowledge and skills you acquire into a practical industry project for a local business or organisation, in which you鈥檒l address business issues or advance business opportunities. In the process, you鈥檒l strengthen your understanding of operations and production management. The project management expertise you鈥檒l gain on this programme aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), as defined by the Project Management Institute and is an internationally recognised standard.
