Do you love helping people and want better job security? Health care is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world and this qualification will give you the skills and confidence to step into it. This course equips you with the core skills you need to provide quality care. Over 36 weeks, you鈥檒l cover topics including; the human body, leadership and communication in health, professional practice, palliative and end of life care, community wellness and the New Zealand health system.聽 This course is designed for those who have qualifications and experience in Healthcare, and entry into the course requires you to be currently working as a Healthcare assistant. This course is taught with a 'blended' delivery style, with one day per week in class (Wednesday) and the rest of the learning completed online. This allows flexibility for your work hours and other commitments.
Entry requirements
To be admitted to this course, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Completed the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3)聽in Health Assistance or Support Work strand; OR An equivalent qualification or experience in the health and wellbeing sectors. Current work employment within the health care industry
