鈥婽he New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Academic) (Level 5) is a 17-week programme offered by Seafield School of English, designed to advance learners' English proficiency for high-level academic study. The course includes 20 hours of classroom instruction per week, with class sizes limited to a maximum of 25 students to ensure focused and personalised learning. Students will develop advanced skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing within academic contexts, preparing them for tasks such as engaging with lectures and delivering presentations. This programme is available both on-campus in Auckland and online for offshore students, providing flexible learning options. Successful completion of this certificate facilitates progression to postgraduate studies, including master's and doctoral programmes.

An IELTS 6.0 or equivalent or sit and pass our free online English placement test which is offered weekly.

Our city campus is right next to the Auckland SkyCity Tower and consists of 2 levels 16 classrooms, large computer lab and an open student space.   General English classes have morning, afternoon and evening sessions for you to choose from.  Enrolments of 14 weeks or more will receive in-study work rights of up to 20 hours a week on a student visa.  We alos cater for short-term study for those on working holiday visas.

Our NZCEL programmes levels 4 and 5 were the first to be permanently approved by NZQA to be delivered online/offshore and we have multiple classes delivered online to students in their home country also.
