NZQF Level 4

魅影直播 the course

Vessels in the marine industry rely on complex, integrated systems to operate safely and efficiently 鈥 from diesel engines to hydraulics, fuel delivery, and cooling systems. As a marine systems engineer apprentice, you鈥檒l work alongside experienced trades people to install, service, and troubleshoot the systems that power everything from fishing boats and ferries to launches and commercial craft.

Whether you elect to focus on new-build installation or servicing and repair, you鈥檒l gain hands-on experience fitting, maintaining, and testing components to keep vessels performing at their best. You鈥檒l build skills in reading technical diagrams, diagnosing faults and understanding of how systems connect 鈥 from engine management and hydraulics to cooling and fuel delivery 鈥 all while learning to meeting safety standards.

During your marine systems engineering apprenticeship, you'll develop hands-on mechanical skills, sharp problem-solving abilities and become part of a skilled trade that keeps New Zealand's vessels safe and reliable on the water.

As a work-based apprenticeship, you can earn while you learn. You'll need to be employed in the industry to train on the job as you work toward your trade qualification, and MAST Academy supports you throughout with a dedicated Training Advisor.
