Two Macmillan Brown Essay Prizes shall be awarded annually for the most original essays submitted by students in their first year of study as part of the year's work in a course in English Literature at the 100 level.Value/Benefits:聽Financial assistance at a value of $500 (First Prize) $300 (Second Prize).聽One-fifth of the prize shall be spent on books, to each of which, where appropriate, a suitable bookplate shall be affixed.
