The Pakohe Sustainability Scholarship recognises the University's commitment to supporting students who have demonstrated sustainability initiatives and practices that align with our aim to be a global thought leader, by integrating sustainability into all we do. Scholarships will be awarded competitively based on academic merit, demonstration of involvement in sustainability initiatives and practices, intended involvement as a sustainability leader at the University, and commitment to community. Scholarships are valued at $5,000 or $10,000 for the first year of study which can be put towards accommodation costs at a Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington hall of residence, or as a contribution towards your tuition fees (unless you qualify for Fees Free).
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens, Permanent Residents, or International Students completing at least two full years at a New Zealand Secondary School. Must have NCEA Level 2 Certificate endorsed with Merit from Year 12 or equivalent. Must intend to enrol full time in the year following application in their first undergraduate degree at Te Herenga Waka鈥擵ictoria University of Wellington. Must be in Year 13 or have completed Year 13 in the year prior and be taking a gap year at the time of application.
