New Zealand offers scholarships to eligible citizens from developing countries studying full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification at a New Zealand education institution or university or at a Pacific university. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide recipients with academic study to learn new skills and acquire knowledge to assist in the social and economic development of their country when they return home. The New Zealand Aid Programme provides scholarships as part of our mission to support sustainable development to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world. Scholarships are offered in specific subject areas that are most relevant to the development needs of the home country.
