To encourage M膩ori postgraduate research in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington offers scholarships to those M膩ori students about to begin their doctoral studies. These scholarships are awarded on academic merit and are open to New Zealand M膩ori students. Successful applicants will also be supported to attend international conferences to present their accepted publications.
Entry requirements
Applicants would normally be expected to have completed a BSc (Hons), MSc Part 1 or a PGDipSc in AIML, COMP, DATA, SWEN or STAT, demonstrating good academic achievement from Te Herenga Waka 鈥 Victoria University of Wellington or another New Zealand University. The applicants are normally expected to have achieved a minimum B+ grade average (GPA 6.0) from a prerequisite degree or qualification. Those with a slightly lower GPA will also be considered with other academic or industry experience.
