The Nora Bateson Scholarship was established to encourage beginning practitioners in the field of Library and Information Studies to include overseas study or professional practice in their programme. It is named in honour of Miss Nora Bateson, who was the Director of the New Zealand Library School from 1948 to 1953. The scholarship is intended for students enrolled in the Master of Information Studies, Postgraduate Certificate, or Postgraduate Diploma in Information Studies at Te Herenga Waka鈥揤ictoria University of Wellington.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled in the Master of Information Studies (MIS), Postgraduate Certificate in Information Studies, or Postgraduate Diploma in Information Studies at Te Herenga Waka鈥揤ictoria University of Wellington. They must intend to undertake a term of study or an internship in the field of Library and Information Studies at either a New Zealand or an overseas university/organisation.
