A Prize for the BMus or BMus conjoint student enrolled in Creative Practice: Classical who has achieved the highest marks in Performance courses at Stage I level. The Prize was established in 1973 from a legacy bequeathed to the University of Auckland by Miss Mary Herbert in memory of her sister, Constance Herbert, who was Music Mistress at St Cuthbert's College for Girls from 1927 to 1958.
