This scholarship aims to create new methods for clustering mixed-type survey data and calibrate the relationship between derived cluster memberships and a limited proxy data set. The successful candidate will develop a novel structure for clustering mixed-type data and build predictive models, joining a research team of experts in categorical data analysis, computational methods, and models for ordinal data.
Entry requirements
Candidates must have an Honours or Masters degree with an excellent GPA, a background in statistics, data science, or a related field, strong programming skills (preferably in R), and excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
