This project will develop advanced metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for capturing iodine pollutants from wastewater. The research focuses on synthesizing tailored MOF structures and evaluating their performance through adsorption experiments. Key metrics include iodine uptake capacity, speed of capture, and material reusability. The student will gain hands-on experience in materials synthesis and characterization, contributing to the development of sustainable solutions for environmental remediation and waste management.
