A Prize for the student whose ENGSCI 700 Research Project best demonstrates the Learning Outcomes in the course outline. The Prize was established in 2007 to recognise the most meritorious project in Biomedical Engineering. This degree programme is one of the two degrees offered by the Department of Engineering Science and Biomedical Engineering. Before the establishment of a separate Biomedical Engineering Degree, all students in the Department of Engineering Science and Biomedical Engineering were eligible for the Cecil M Segedin prize. Since the Cecil M Segedin Prize is specifically reserved for students in the Engineering Science Degree programme, a separate prize was established for those students enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering Degree programme.
